In the 1990s, supply chain management has become one of the most important methods to improve the competitiveness for the business organization in the intensive global competitive market. In this paper, we introduce the basic philosophy of the supply chain management, discuss the theoretical and practical background which facilitates the arising of supply chain management. After studying the supply chain management process, we review supply chain models for the management decision making and discuss their implications for our business management.

Integration of Management and Technology in Process Manufacturing Systems
WANG Chen-gen, DAI Guo-zhong, ZHANG Yu, LUO Huan-zuo
    2000, (1):  10-16.
    Abstract ( 2236 )   PDF (2562KB) ( 1667 )   Save
Facing the fierce global market competition, process manufacturing systems (companies) must put much emphasis on both technologies and management issues, in order to optimally improve their overall performance. It is proposed that the competitive edge of process companies can only be sharpened by integrating human, organization, strategy, management, process optimization, information and technology factors. Referring to the status of Chinese petrochemical companies, this paper first surveys the problems confronting process manufacturing systems and discusses relevant development tendencies. Appropriate management paradigms are required to support flexible organization structures in process companies and to enhance employee innovation and commitments. Subsequently, an architecture consisting of function, process, organization, resource and product views is proposed to address process manufacturing systems in a unified way. Finally, technologies enable process integration and optimization are studied on basis of multi -agent based models.

Malmquist Productivity Index Based on the Input Oriented Non-Parametric Frontiers
    SUN wei
    2000, (1):  22-26.
    Abstract ( 2233 )   PDF (2458KB) ( 1352 )   Save
In the paper, the theory of production frontiers and its non-parametric measurement ac Proaches are used to figure out the input compressing productivity index, Malmquist productivity index based on the input oriented non-parametric production frontiers. The technology efficiency and the distance function and their nonparametric models are introduced on the conditions of Constant Return to Scale and input strong disposability. The Non-parametric measurement approaches and the decomposition of Malmquist productivity index are put forward.

Research on Nonlinear Combination Modeling and Forecasting Method of Economic Time Series
    DONG Jing-rong, YANG Xiu-tai
    2000, (1):  27-23.
    Abstract ( 2618 )   PDF (2484KB) ( 1405 )   Save
Based on the property that the fuzzy system can approximate any nonlinear continuous function in the compact supporting set, a new nonlinear combination forecasting method based on Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy rule bases is present to overcome the difficulties and drawbacks in combined modeling non-stationary time series by using linear Combination forecasting. Furthermore, the corresponding genetic algorithm is used to identify the Parameter of the fuzzy system and partitions of fuzzy subsets. Theoretical analysis and forecasting examples all show that the new technique has reinforcement learning properties and universalized capabilities. With respect to combined modeling and forecasting of economic time series in nonlinear systems, which have some uncertainties, the method is available.

The Analytic Hierarchy Process with Safety Analysis
    DAI Feng, LIANG Lin
    2000, (1):  34-42.
    Abstract ( 2152 )   PDF (2574KB) ( 1201 )   Save
Starting from the securement problems in human realistic decision making, the concepts of the safety matrix, the safety index and the risk matrix are put forward in this paper. To go a step further, the method of safety analysis in decision making is given. By using the method (l) the degree of safety in the result of some decision making could be expressed, measured, calculated and analysed, (2) some problems of decision making, which can not be solved by AHP, could be solved; (3) the decision makers would get the sense of safety on his options. Importantly, that the ways to identify parameter about the safety index is given here make the method in this paper more practical.

Damping and Anti-Dumping Dynamic Games under Incomplete Information
    YANG Shi-hui, ZHANG Juan
    2000, (1):  43-50.
    Abstract ( 2241 )   PDF (2685KB) ( 1939 )   Save
This paper first gives a brief description of the civil and foreign research for the game of dumping and anti-dumping. The emphasis is how to work out the dynamic game model of dumping and anti-dumping under the conditions of incomplete information. Then the corresponding effects on the market price, the volume of output and sales, and the state welfare are inferred, At the end, it presents several main problems for necessary further research.

Concerning the characteristics of imperfect competition, we give a multiple-modeling for the firms in monopoly, oligopoly and monopolistic competition markets with the use of fuzzy relation equations and their solutions. The firms may take advantage of the models to improve the comprehensive levels of their products in order to get more better economic benefit.

    2000, (1):  56-60.
    Abstract ( 2169 )   PDF (2460KB) ( 1623 )   Save
This paper, through applying genetic algorithm into a neural network model of harbor investment, evaluates the feasibility of harbor investment. Some cases of histories show that method can solve the problems that traditional optimal algorithm can’t do because of the discontinuity, meanwhile speed up the process and obtain the reliable and effective result.
