Abstract: As the core underlying technology of Bitcoin, blockchain shows the potential of achieving large-scale in decentralized circumstances, and provides a new approach to establish a trusted environment. With the popularity of Bitcoin and the rapid development of various blockchain platforms, blockchain has become a hot topic in the field of digital currency and supply chain finance. Based on the simple presentation the development and application status of blockchain technology, this paper researches bibliometric analysis of blockchain technology research topics using the VOSviewer knowledge graph tool. The analysis result reveals that the research topic of blockchain technology in digital currency and supply chain finance mainly include three aspects: the financial attribute of digital currency, the digital currency market efficiency, and blockchain technology application. In the financial attribute of digital currency, the existing studies focuses on the correlation analysis of digital currency and traditional financial assets. And The goal of this part is revealing whether digital currencies can act as hedge funds or safe-haven assets. Investigations in this part uses theories, methods, and knowledge from traditional financial fields. In the digital currency market efficiency, the existing researches mainly examine the bitcoin market, the digital currency portfolio market, the effectiveness of the digital currency market and the market bubble. And the influence on market efficiency is analyzed from the aspects of investor behavior and price prediction. In the blockchain technology application, current research mainly carries out decision-making and influencing factors analysis of blockchain technology adoption. And the research angle is diversity, including risk avoidance, product traceability, environmental sustainability, platform operation. On this basis, the keywords clustering results after dividing the time period are analyzed to analyze the future development trend. Finally, based on the WSR (Wuli-Shili-Renli) theory, from the perspectives of methods(Wuli), research objects (Renli), and research perspectives(Shili), this paper puts forward questions or directions worth further research for the three research topics. This study may provide some reference for the application of blockchain technology in digital currency and supply chain finance.
