Abstract: R&D approach and the level of investment are the most important aspect in learning alliance,but the alliance partner’s absorptive capacity which plays an important role in learning alliance has been neglected in traditional organizational learning theories.In this article we proposed a common representation of absorptive capacity and analyzed how the absorptive capacity affects R&D approach and level of investment of each partner.
