Abstract: A new decision making approach based on D-S theory is proposed for the multi-attribute group decision making problem with incomplete linguistic assessment information. First,by analyzing the incomplete linguistic assessment information given by decision makers, the values of the basic probability assignment function of attribute's focal elements are computed and integrated by Dempster-Shafer's rule of combination. Then the values of belief function and plausibility function are calculated and used to rank all decision alternatives. An example is given to show the feasibility and validity of this method.
