Abstract: The Housing Management Informatien System of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS)is a typical example which installs comPuter-based information system to replace man-made data processing. This Paper presents some probloms in developing this software system, i.e, defining the information requirement, designing rational data models, simplifying function design and progranuning,and a approach to these probloms.
